District Trustee Board

The Trustee Board is a team of volunteers who work together, as charity trustees, to make sure Scouts is run safely and legally.

Making sure Horsham District
  • Manages its money well.
  • Follows Scouts policies and relevant legislation.
  • Looks after buildings, insurance and property.
  • Manages risks. 
  • Operates well, today and in the future.  
District Chair
  • Leads the Trustee Board.
  • Leads Trustee Board meetings and the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
  • Liaises with Lead Volunteers.
  • Leads recruitment for new Trustees.
  • Supports other Trustees by organising inductions and annual reviews.
District Treasurer
  • Looks after finances, such as making collecting all membership fees and making all payments. 
  • Shares details about income and spend with other Trustees
  • Makes sure Gift Aid is being claimed. 
  • Makes sure proper accounts are kept and draw up policies on finance and investment.
